THE WEDDING
We hope that all of your question about the wedding weekend will be answered below. If there's something you can't find, please don't hesitate to contact us!
CAMP
Greene Family Camp is where Natalie spent most of her summers growing up. We can’t imagine a more perfect backdrop for an intimate, weekend-long wedding celebration that the quiet, peaceful retreat that is Greene. The camp has many wonderful amenities including air conditioning in all buildings, a cafeteria, tennis and basketball courts, and even a game room — don’t worry you won’t be roughing it.
CAMP ACCOMODATIONS
In true camp spirit, we invite our guests to stay on the premises and celebrate with us for the entire weekend!
Camp Lodging
We have blocked off enough rooms and bunks for everyone to stay at camp Friday and Saturday nights, however, it will be up to each guest to reserve and pay for their lodging via our RSVP page once the invitations have been sent out.
Greene offers a variety of lodging including "motel" rooms with suite-style bathrooms and bunks with shared bathrooms. We will be assigning rooms based on the final guest list and shall do our best to make everyone comfortable with their lodging!
Rooms are supplied with basic linens, pillows, and towels but guests are welcome to bring their own if they wish.
BYOT!
For those guests who are inclined to be in the outdoors, we welcome you to bring your own tent and pitch it in a designated camping area. You’ll have access to the bunk bathrooms all weekend. There is no lodging cost for guests who choose this option — just let us know when you RSVP.
Off-camp Lodging
For those guests who prefer not to stay at camp or wish to only come for the ceremony and reception on Saturday, there are hotels in the nearby cities of Waco (approximately 30 minutes north) and Temple (approximately 25 minutes south).
Meals
Meals all weekend are on us! We will provide dinner on Friday night; breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday; and a final breakfast on Sunday morning. All meals will be kosher style — which, in this case means no pork or shellfish — but if you have any further dietary needs, please let us know when you RSVP.
CEREMONY
The wedding ceremony on Saturday evening will take place at Greene’s outdoor chapel, overlooking Lake Jake and some beautiful central-Texas scenery. The ceremony will be led by Rabbi Michael Mellen, a Reform Jewish Rabbi whom we greatly admire. It will follow the basic narrative of a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony — complete with prayer in Hebrew, sipping of wine, breaking of a glass, and mazal tov cheers — but will be personalized to us. The ceremony should last about 30 minutes and will be followed by a reception and BBQ dinner.
Suggested wedding attire is spring semi-formal. What does that mean? For women: think sundresses or casual cocktail attire. For men: think slacks and sport coat, but no need for a full suit. Everyone should wear comfortable footwear since there is gravel at the chapel and pack a layer for a possibly chilly evening. All activities will be outside — weather permitting, of course — so please be sure to dress comfortably.

GETTING TO CAMP
Getting to Camp
Greene Family Camp is located in the heart of Texas in the town of Bruceville. To our out-of-state guests, we recommend flying into Dallas/Forth Worth International Airport (DFW) or Austin/Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), though Austin flights may be more expensive due to the SXSW Festival which begins the same weekend as our wedding.

RIDE SHARING
Since so many folks will be traveling from afar for the weekend, we'd like to encourage ride-sharing to save not only the environment, but also travel costs!
Are you hoping to split a rental car with someone from an airport? Are you driving up from a nearby city and have an extra seat in your car? If so, we urge you to connect and coordinate with your fellow guests using the message board below. You'll all be fast friends by the end of the weekend—so why not start early?!
